Day 5:  19th March 2008 Hurghada Safaga - Aswan

Today we started our journey from Safaga early at 7 am and on the way to Aswan we learnt that our ship had met an accident and was declared unsafe for boarding. This disappointed us but we were also lucky that we got one of the best 5 star hotels in Aswan " The Isis island resort" which is situated right in an island on the Nile river and gives a fantastic view of the Nile and Aswan town. We had to go there by boat. Before going to the hotel we went to the Philae temple.

Day 6: 20th March 2008 Aswan - Kom Ombo - Luxor

Today we first visited the Aswan High Dam and then went to Kom Ombo by Motor Boat. We visited the temple of Kom Ombo and then drove down to Luxor. Overnight we stayed in Swiss Inn hotel in Luxor.

Day 7: 21st March 2008 Luxor

Today we started at 8.30 am and visited the Valley of the kings and the Queen Hatshepsut temple. We came back to the hotel for lunch and then visited the Karnak Temple. We have now returned to the hotel and are eagerly awaiting a cultural program including a Belle dance and a local Egyptian Folk dance.

We will then board the sleeping train to Cairo for the final journey home.

Day 8 : Cairo - Mumbai

We reach Cairo in the morning and take our flights to Mumbai. HOME SWEET HOME

Day 9: 23rd March 2008  Mumbai

Reach Mumbai as follows,

1. Gulf Air by flight GF 056 at 05.55am

2. Kuwait Air by flight KU 301 at 04.50 am
